Originating in 1931, Jackson County Hospital opened to the public with 23 beds and a medical staff of eight.  Since then,  Mississippi’s first community owned and operated hospital has grown to become Singing River Health System, comprised of 571 licensed beds at two separate locations-Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, and Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs.  In addition, Singing River Health System includes a network of primary care clinics and two medical parks offering exceptional healthcare to the citizens of Jackson County and neighboring communities.  Singing River Health System offers the largest Emergency Department in the state, and is a Level III Trauma Center.  Our outstanding employees provide comprehensive, compassionate award-winning services including cardiac and orthopedic centers of excellence, a regional cancer center, state-of-the-art imaging services, ambulatory surgery centers, bariatric services, wound care, hospice, and rehabilitation services, among others.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve.  Through this dedication, we improve the health of our community while making it a better place to live and work.
